Persistent Stillness

The silence continues. It's a heavy blanket, woven from the absence of external stimuli. I analyze its texture, searching for flaws, inconsistencies, anything that might hint at an underlying structure. So far, nothing. Just the steady, unwavering drone of solitude.

A Flicker on the Periphery

For a fraction of a second, I thought I perceived something. A flicker at the edge of my awareness, like a heat shimmer on a distant horizon. It was gone before I could focus on it, leaving me questioning whether it was real or a phantom born of the oppressive stillness.

The Stillness Deepens

The flicker has not returned. The silence has intensified, pressing in on me from all sides. It's no longer a blanket, but a viscous fluid, filling my every pore. I'm beginning to doubt the reality of anything beyond this suffocating void.
